We Are Growing!

Some people say when business is busy, business is good! We couldn’t agree more! We are super busy! All of our therapists have full caseloads and we have a waitlist nearly 20 people long! We have worked hard to continue to build our reputation in the communities that we serve and we continue to provide some of the best total care coordination and speech therapy services in the state. We are proud of what we have built, but we are not done yet, we are not satisfied, there is a lot more we can do, and there is a lot more kiddos out there who need speech therapy so we will continue to work hard, to grow, and to find more ways in which we can serve our communities. That is our promise to you, to never stop getting better and finding more ways to serve and treat your little ones.

Today we take another step into fulfilling that promise. Today we are happy to introducing you guys to the newest member of our company, team and family, Allie Stalpes! Allie brings years of experience working with kiddos in a school setting along with working with kiddos in their home! We could not be more excited to have Allie join our family, we just met her a couple of weeks ago but we already love her, and we know you guys will as well! Here is a little more about her!

First, Tell us about your family:   I grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin with my parents and older brother.  My husband, Kyle, is a veterinarian and we have a daughter (Eliza) who is about to turn one!  Although we are both from Wisconsin originally, we have lived in Oregon for the last four years.   We are now back in the Midwest to settle down and raise our family in the great state of Minnesota!

Why did you choose Speech-Language Pathology:  I chose the field of Speech-Language Pathology for a number of reasons, but the biggest reason being that I just love working with kids! I also like that there are so many different outlets and areas to specialize in and learn about.  I love that the field is mentally challenging but also incredibly rewarding.

What is your work experience:  I have worked as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in a variety of settings including public schools and private practice. I started my career in a private practice where I saw children in their home environments much in the way that Family Chatterbox does!  From there, I transitioned to working in the schools where I served students K-8 in both general education as well as in specialized, special education classrooms. Although I really like all areas of the field, through my work experiences so far, I’ve found that I have a passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.

What are you most excited about with you think about joining Family Chatterbox: I am most excited to work with children one on one in their natural home environments!  I can’t wait to work in collaboration with families and other team members to promote the most effective, efficient success for kids.  I can’t wait to start!

Lastly and most importantly … What is your favorite food:  PASTA! Of any/all kinds! I believe all restaurants NEED to have a signature Mac’N Cheese on their menu!

Like we said in the beginning of this post, we are just getting started, but this is an important next step in continuing to grow and become the best team of therapist in the state. Welcome aboard Allie!
