We know your time is limited, your classrooms are packed, and your centers are often understaffed. That’s why we created these courses! After spending time visiting and meeting with countless daycare directors and staff it was clear there was a huge need for short but high quality courses. 

Most importantly there was a huge need for courses that actually provided tangible resources and activities for their staff to use in their classrooms right away.

With these needs in mind, we created the courses listed below. Each of these courses can be started and stopped at anytime, they all include tangible takeaways and resources to be used in the classroom immediately. Additionally, they all count for necessary and required course credit for MN licensing and Develop KCF hours.

Cultivating a Classroom of Inclusion

KCF Area: II.A: Creating Positive Learning Experiences (2 Hours)

Learn classroom strategies that inform teaching with the philosophies and principals for educating children about disabilities of all kinds and diversity. Discover specific classroom activities that build inclusion and understanding, and obtain classroom materials to download for immediate use!

Biting: Why it Happens & What to do About it

KCF Area: II.C: Promoting Social and Emotional Development (2 Hours) 

Learn how to determine why a child is biting, how to address the challenges, and receive practical downloads and handouts that you can use in your classroom right away to help reduce biting. 

Supporting Autism In the Classroom

KCF Area: IV.B: Assessing and Using Information to Plan (2 Hours)

Identify unique characteristics of language development for children with Autism, and how to adapt your classroom to meet each child’s language abilities depending on their individual needs. 

Bilingual Language Development Birth to Pre-K

KCF Area: II.B: Promoting Cognitive Development (2 Hours)

Learn about different components of bilingual language learning such as disorders and differences, as well as how to differentiate between them. Identify red flags for children who are learning multiple languages, examine the roles of educators, hierarchy of therapy, and how to integrate the information practically into your classroom. 

Learning to Communicate: Language Development Birth to Pre-K 

KCF Area: IV.B: Assessing and Using Information to Plan (2 Hours)

Explore the progression of early language development in children through the perspective of a Speech Language Pathologist and determine ways to adjust classroom activities to fit the individual needs of each child. Identify red flags in each area of language development, and how to adapt your classroom to meet each child’s language abilities depending on their individual needs. 

Learning to Talk: Speech Development Birth to Pre-K  

KCF Area: IV.B: Assessing and Using Information to Plan (2 Hours) 

Explore the progression of early speech sound development in children through the perspective of a Speech Language Pathologist and gain knowledge on the impact of early intervention. Learn about the different components of speech sounds such as error patterns, developmental hierarchy, and common typical approximations  

Speech & Language Development: Birth to Pre-K  

KCF Area: I: Child Development and Learning (2 Hours)

Learn about the areas of speech-language such as speech sounds, stuttering, voice, language, auditory processing, augmentative/alternative communication, and feeding. Identify red flags in each of these areas of development, and examine the roles of educators, hierarchy of therapy, and how to integrate the information practically.

  • Who teaches these courses?

    All courses are taught by Kasey Wade who is an Achieve Master Trainer through the Minnesota Develop system. Kasey is a licensed Spanish teacher and has her Masters in Speech and Language Pathology. She owns and operates an in home therapy company in the Twin Cities called Family Chatterbox.

  • If I have questions about something that is taught in a course who can I ask?

    All courses come with the ability to reach out and e-mail the course creator about anything that is taught in the course, in fact we encourage you to do so!

    Absolutely! We offer multiple discounts depending on how many courses you would like to purchase.
